She’s a champion for women, but most importantly, she’s a champion for God. I would be speaking of the awe-inspiring Rebekah Fowlkes – our Guest for Episode #4 of the Blood, Sweat and Tears Podcast. The sweet soul that, as a wife and mother of four (4), has maintained her child-like faith in who her Heavenly Father is and what He is capable of. Without a doubt, Rebekah is most definitely the kind of girl you hope your daughter befriends for life!
In the short, wisdom-filled, 35 minutes of Rebekah’s episode, my heart was left full, my faith grown and my encouragement tank overflowing. Her transparency and positive energy is beautifully contagious and so is her love for the Lord! I mean…don’t you just thrive around humans like that?! The ones that have endured the trials, persevered and came out carrying water for those still in the fire. The ones that always seem to have the right things to say without an ounce of stumbling because they are filled with the Spirit. For instance, “God is constantly molding us…He has an intention for the hard,” she says. #keeper #keepher
Truth Mapping: Episode #4
Towards the end of Episode #4, Rebekah mentions a verse that has carried her for the past 20 years. It’s a verse that you’ll find inside of her home and a verse that, for Rebekah, seems to take on a new meaning over time: Isaiah 43:19.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NIV
When I read this verse, I envision the LORD is saying it with such enthusiasm! Matter of fact, I’m sure that He’s full of enthusiasm because He works all things together for our good and only He knows what lies ahead. He looks at Rebekah and He looks at us and says, “She’s a champion of God, I withhold no good thing from her.”
I hope you’ll join in on truth mapping Isaiah 43:19. The Lord is sure to bless your heart and inner peace with his words. That being said, you’ll find your free truth mapping download for Rebekah’s favorite verse HERE.
